Hello kids, sorry for being gone for a bit. You know me, I'm like Batman, you'll never know when I beat the snot out of you guys. Anywho, a few things.

Actually, the girl that I wound up having finalized is basicly like someone from the world of Book of Eli. She wears a hooded cloak, a scarf, shaded googles, has a shoulder bag, ripped jeans, boots, and laced bracers that conceal an Assassin's Creed-esque assassin's blade on her right arm.

Though, Nick, you aren't exactly false... at some point, I was getting a back massage from a topless blonde girl (I think she was topless, I was passing out in my dream [I guess that's how tired I was]), and I actually felt the back massage. Fun times, huh.

I'll try remembering more of the enviroment I saw her in, and try making a story. But so far, a few years ago, the world was torn apart by some conflict involving the forces of good and evil. Now the aftermath, people are barely surviving in settlements and small towns. This girl, Kayla (no relation to GBA's Kayla, so don't even think that it is) has heard that there is a untouched city that actually has civilization. And, well. That's about all I have. More later.

This is not an edit, just something I decided to put in later: I finished drawing the girl, shaded her horribly because I decided fuck it, and bam. Going to try and draw a better model of her. Hopefully I'll get things right, and maybe draw her without the hood. But, I'll continue my first drawing soon enough.

Has anyone here played the first Resident Evil (on PS1 or Gamecube)? I've been playing it lately, and well, it's kind of the only game right now that has managed to keep me on edge. It can get pretty scary. Anyway, that's been keeping me entertained for the time being. I suggest playing that if you have it.

As for drawings and stories and what not, I've just been busy playing Xbox and the Gamecube lately. Nothing new here.

Resident Evil 1 originally came out for the playstation and I believe dreamcast. I can't be sure. But it was eventually remade for the gamecube. My logic is sound, and I have substituted your reality with my own. Thank you very much.

I kid, anyway, I had a family reunion recently. It was pretty much ok. On a Thursday morning, I got woken up by everyone ever in my family wondering where my sister was. The night before, she had a date with another derby girl that she never met before, and so my mum was kind of worried about that. So my mum tells me to get out of bed, and check up. Now, ok... here's where things get messed up fast. Right before I knock on the door, I hear my sister... basicly having sex with said derby girl. We're in a hotel, so I call my mum back immediately, and was like... "Uh, yeah, just give her a few minutes... She's ok. Uhuh... just give her a few minutes." So... I waited a few minutes, knock on the door, and tell my sister that everyone's been trying to get a reach of her. She says she was sleeping, and I reply, "You were not just sleeping."
Family reunions... fun times, huh?

as soon as sony took of the "Other OS" feature I started disliking my ps3, so i got an xbox (sold the ps3).

The xbox is as quiet as the ps3 (when running games off HHD) and is 10x more simple to play games with friends (idiot proof).

PS3 might use blue rays discs (which are friggin awesome) that don't scratch, but on the xbox you can download games to HHD (disc only needed to boot the game).

I was so scared about that fucking RROD shit but I find that running the games off the HDD keeps the system a tad bit cooler ( and RROD is supposedly covered by warranty for like 5 years or something).

the PS3 definitely has a little more under the hood, but programmers will be forever lazy so the hardware will most likely only be used by only a few games.

who the hell wants to program for a system that uses like 6+ processors?

Sony said from the start that the ps3 can be used as a home computer, which is one of the reasons I wanted the system. but then they took it away due to some hacker.

Have you ever imagined what the future might be like? Like, how it would really be like? Not this Halo shit, or laser beams for weapons and shit and cyborgs and robots everywhere. But like, how life would really be like. Sure, there would be flying cars now, and space travel would be a must. But what about wars? In one of my stories, I actually thought about this stuff. Would we know how shielding technologies work? I mean, currently, if we knew how to implement a similar shielding device like those implied in games like Halo or Mass Effect, would we be able to? How much power would it take to power these shields? What about weaponry? Currently we have developed a laser system, but it requires too much power and is relatively large. How would we fix that? Or would we resort to researching on how plasma technology works? How does plasma technology work, and would we have it in the future? Space colonies, we'd have to find other planets that we can colonize on, but how far away are they? How long would it take us to go from Earth to said colony? What about civilization on Earth? Would it change? I mean humanity would be on seperate planets, so would politics change? How would you manage what happens between planets? What about normal life? Medical sciences would be vastly improved by then, also technology to treat severe bodily harm would be implemented. Take my character, Jade. Her armed was pierced in two places and her muscles weren't able to recover completely. Her arm and hand cannot function without the aid of a neural muscular enabler. She didn't need to get her arm removed at all. What about amputated limbs? Sure, now you'll have a pretty cool and natural looking robotic arm. But what if you decide to get greedy? What if you want to synthetically enhance your body? Cybornetic implants would be available, but would you lose part of your humanity? What about work? Would you be able to get a normal desk job? Or would you be forced to work hard labor, such as construction or mining? Commuting would also be curious, since we might have vehicles capable of flight. Where would we park? How much fuel would it take to power one of these flying vehicles? Would it be worth it? Currency would be curious too, as common science fiction stories would typically have credits instead of dollars, or euros, pounds, yen, so on and so forth. How would we keep track of our money if it's mostly digitalized?

In the story that I've been keeping in my head, I've been answering these questions in my own unique and relatively life-like style. While I may not have all the answers, nor would they be an implication of what is to come, I still find satisfaction in thinking of the life of a mercenary group who goes through all odds to save their part of the galaxy.

Since this is my thread, and you guys may or may not read all of this, I'll just answer some of my questions as far as my story goes.
Shielding devices during 6239 have been implemented for standard military use, freelance work, and heavy duty jobs, such as construction or mining. Electromagnetic shields were finally invented and capable of full protection in 6119, where Terran scientists (not from Starcraft, think more of the lines of Elites from Halo) finally figured out how to work renewable energy into a portable pack that could be used for life threatening incidents. So long as the shield is active, the power supply will be able to sustain the shield's power for up to an hour of non-stop activity, but in order for it to recharge, the user must disable the shield so that power can be redirected to restrengthen the shield when it is reactivated. However, currently, shielding for larger objects, such as space vessels or vehicles, have yet to be functioning as power usage and the total net area is too large to sustain a shield for too long. The Intersystematical Alliance Military Forces have shielding devices equipped for their soldiers as a standard issue. Mercenaries also have shielding devices, as they are inexpensive and help preserve the life of the crew members. The crew of the Blood Falcons have medium grade shields.
Lasers were prohibited in the 42nd century due to the level of destruction that may occur on other planets due to user error, or user intention. In the 57th century, lasers were allowed for combat vessels issued by the IAMF to ensure safety of the intersystematical colonies from hostile forces, such as mercenaries or rogue Defcon troopers who oppose the current treaty. Plasma technology has been implemented since the 39th century by Terrans and their discovery of how resourceful Aonic energy is. Currently in 6239, most weapons that do not support plasma bolt rounds have small generators that create plasma within them. Rotating at with a very incredible speed, plasma is created and is released from the weapon, allowing a high velocity, high temperature plasma blast to be released and launched at the user's enemy. The crystal rifle has a seperate system towards the end of the weapon system's barrel that snap freezes the plasma blast, creating a rather unique high temperature plasma crystal to be shot, rather than the standard plasma blast. Due to the invention of shields, plasma bolt rounds and crystal technology have risen in military application.
In 6239, humanity has expanded onto other planets, including, but not limited to, Cyon, Aonica, Aora, Eyrdon, Buriana, Ellevarice, Defcon 1 and 5, and attempts to colonize on Minotaufulus have been made, but the Minution government has made it difficult due to their beliefs that the Alliance are invading aliens attempting to take over their world. The pinnacle of human colonization is Eyrdon, where Captain Jade of the Blood Falcons was born and raised. Eyrdon was an untouched world full of indegionous fauna and flora, and humans have built four main cities on Eyrdon since it was discovered. Phoenix, Jade's home city, is the smallest of the four main cities. Jade's father, Edward Jade, is currently monopolizing resource mining, and has a firm hold of resource shipment and distribution. Other human successses at colonizing include Corventia on Cyon, Tyris on Ellevarice, and Resola on Buriana.
Due to the research and development of enabling space vessels to move quicker than their predecessors, current ships in 6239 are capable of overdrive, which is basically a speed set by overloading a ship's engines to create a massive impluse that sends the ship flying at an incredible speed, decreasing the time it takes to go from Earth to Cyon from a week to a matter of days. A pilot must constantly monitor the ship's trajectory in case anything appears in the vessel's flight path. Crashing into an astroid at high velocity means certain death. (A side note. Space is a vacuum. It is mostly absolved from friction and the things we experience on Earth. In almost every science fiction thing that I've seen, space vessels leave their engines on, which would cost unnecessary amounts of fuel, and basically achieve nothing, though theoretically, it'd just make you go faster and faster until you reach less than faster than light speeds, but still. In my story, one of the things that is taught to space voyagers is that when you're set that you desire, you're to shut down your engines and drift at your desired speed. It's why the overdrive function is useful. Oh, and in real life, you cannot go faster than light. Sorry to disappoint.)

I'm actually tired of writing at the moment, and coincidentally, I'm tired. I'll keep working on this later. If you read this, and actually toke it as seriously as I did, thank you for 1) reading it, and 2) taking it seriously. If you didn't read it, I suggest you do. Cause that's basically the whole entire premise of this post. If you didn't take it seriously, well, that's your problem. You won't be able to enjoy it as much as it was meant to be enjoyed.

Ok, let's just start with shadow for a moment. Shadow, the answer to your question is both yes and no. I have about three chapters of Carth's story done, but I've yet to continue it, and it's been so long since I've been in Carth and Allison's era (5075-5085) that it's highly unlikely that I'll go back. However I continue to think about this galaxy that I've created, so the story lives on.

Moving on, I've been drawing a picture, basically adding onto what I drew for my friend the other day. I drew a character, codenamed Demon, who's part of a very small and elite squad for the mercenary faction, The Dark Suns. Demon's one who fancies medium armor, is deadly accurate with a plasma bolt sniper rifle, and can defeat standard Terran infantry in hand to hand combat. (that's impressive considering Terrans stand on average 8 feet tall, and are trained for all sorts of combat, including multiple ways on how to dismember a human with hand to hand combat) Demon's standard armaments are the SR-6235 (sniper rifle- fires 12.7mm plasma bolt rounds, capable of piercing armor of non-military vehicles and some military vehicles, also capable of instantaneous shield cracking and knockdown of shield user), a MR-700 ("Devastator" Magnum- fires 12.7mm plasma bolt revolver rounds, capable of piercing through brick walls and some metallic surfaces.), a customized allomonium combat knife with cerated edge and a hook near the hilt of the knife, causing maximum damage and pain. His armor is scarred by previous conflicts, the most distinguished scars are from a Defcon 5 hunter class. In a struggle to kill the hunter, it burned a good half of his armor, and almost pierced through the layers of metal on his helmet and collar guard. In short, he is a highly decorated and highly trained warrior, and when the Dark Suns call upon him and his Angel, they need people to get things done correctly quickly.

Which brings me to Demon's partner, codenamed Angel. Her parents were slaughtered by a ruthless mercenary squad who's directive was to clear out a settlement so a "ruler" could control that area. She was spared because of her gender and age, and was sent to a foster home in Gracious Charity, Cyon. Angel couldn't get over her parent's death, she had reoccurring nightmares and eventually started cutting herself to release her pain. When she was seventeen, a Tetryn came to her foster home and sensed she was a psychic amplification candidate. Through all of her pain, Angel excelled in telekinesis, but couldn't find peace within herself. Angel often was found tearing holes into her skin, causing hemorrhaging and eventually hospitalizing herself. Her ability to heal quickly meant that she never stayed wounded for long. She eventually was stopped from continuing on in her training, and was kicked out. The Dark Suns picked her up, and allowed her to operate, but she never worked with others. Her antisocial and anthropophobic tendencies secluded her from any team that she worked with, until she met Demon. She had a natural attraction to Demon due to his lone wolf tactics, and the way he treated her. Angel felt comfortable around Demon, and eventually they were made partners. While she mainly remains quiet, she assists Demon, and sets up enemies for Demon to snipe. She can clear rooms in a heartbeat, and can deflect most attacks that are directed at her. Her only physical weapon is a standard combat knife that hangs off of her left hip. Her attire consists of a belt that covers her naked breasts, belts on her arms, her hands are covered by striped cotton gloves, her bottom half of her body is covered by a long skirt, and she wears leather boots that go up to her knee.

The squad's name, though unofficial, is Heavenly Hell.
