Should the public be able to upload their own maps?

Would it be a good idea if I make an uploader for the public to post pk3's? It would be good to let the public upload maps on their own.
This wouldn't be like the FTP server. This would only enable them to upload (Not delete/move/edit) maps and only to the base folder. Developers can then delete any bad pk3's from there if any using the FTP server. We also have unlimited space (So no worries about space, okay?).
What do you guys think?
Btw, there are a lot of missing maps from the repo that are in the server's map list (people currently have to download them directly from the server). The public can upload the missing maps if this passes.

Hmm, I think that this would be a good idea!
We then could have some maps that we didn't think of, from other people.

Ahhh, I like this idea. It would make Trem more alike with Assault Cube, my second favorite free FPS. It has its map editor built in, and you can call a vote for any map but somebody has to do /sendmap and everybody else has to do /getmap so everybody has it.

I agree completely.
I hate going to the server only to find that the map on the server is not in the repo.
Or going to the repo and finding a map there thats not in the server.
I think this would solve this problem, along with the ability to have many more maps chosen by people.

I just realized how much more like SST this would make our server. SST had something called tremcentral.com that let people upload any maps for the admins to decide upon putting on the server.

I was thinking more along the lines of a korms type idea.

Actually I think that I might have thought of this already.
You request a map to be uploaded, and the next time an admin sees it, they upload it.

Sounds like a cool idea. We'll have to keep track on the buggy maps what cause KorX to crash though. Do like a weekly sweep when I get my link back from glame
